In June 2024, the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW) published a comprehensive white paper titled “How to Use the Power of AI to Reduce the Impact of Climate Change on Switzerland”. This document explores how artificial intelligence can be leveraged to mitigate climate change effects and enhance the resilience of Swiss society and economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Collaborative Effort<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The white paper brought together a diverse group of over 70 experts and scientists from 30 renowned Swiss universities, authorities, and institutions. Under the leadership of SATW and in collaboration with IBM Research Europe \u2013 Zurich, the project involved participants from research, industry, and government to identify key factors for the responsible and timely adoption of AI in enhancing climate resilience.
